John Ficklin, New Executive Director of FACES

John Ficklin was hired on August 15, 2008 as the new Executive Director of FACES.
John has an under-graduate degree in Sociology and a graduate-degree in Education from Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia.
John retired in 1999 from Hanover County Dept. of Social Services with 23 years in the human service field. He primarily worked in the benefit program areas, assisting families with financial assistance, food stamps, and Medicaid. After retirement, he continued with Social Services working part-time in the Va. Dept of Social Services Central Office in Richmond as a Program Consultant to the Benefit Programs Division.
He recently completed a four-year term as a member of the Board of Henrico County Dept. of Social Services.
He continues to serve his community as a member of the Henrico County Criminal Justice Board.
John Looks forward to helping FACES meet its mission and objectives to serve and support families and to help dissolve the stigma surrounding mental illness.
