International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day (ISOSLD or Survivor Day) is an event in which survivors of suicide loss in the United States and around the world come together to find connection, understanding, and hope through their shared experience. It is a program that American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (AFSP) offers every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

If you follow FACES, you know that for the past five years, we have been proud to partner with AFSP to host a Survivor Day event. However, this year AFSP decided to hold virtual Survivor Day events across the globe. In Virginia, AFSP is planning one Survivor Day via Zoom on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. The format will be similar to the in-person events of previous years, which included a speaker, an AFSP movie and break out discussions sessions. FACES looks forward to participating in this meaningful event. If you are interested in attending, please register here.
