FACES presents Beth Ayn Stansfield of Stay Strong Virginia who will be discussing eating disorders, how they often go undiagnosed in someone who lives with a severe mental illness.
Beth Ayn Stansfield, MEd is currently the Coordinator for an Intensive Day Program in Chesterfield County Public Schools. She has served 30 plus years in the school system as an educator, consultant, counselor and coordinator.  She has also held a position as adjunct faculty with Virginia Commonwealth University.  Beth Ayn’s daughter was diagnosed with an eating disorder at the age of 13.  In response, Beth Ayn coupled her professional skill set with her acquired knowledge of eating disorders to create a unique nonprofit, Stay Strong Virginia.  Stay Strong Virginia raises awareness, educates and supports those impacted by an eating disorder.  Stay Strong Virginia offers a lineup of services including an e-newsletter, support groups, a lending library, presentations, community events and school programs.  www.staystrongvirginia.org
